About the Recipe

You can buy Tajin spice mix or you can make your own chili lime salt to rim the glass; or omit this all together.


2 1/2 cups of cubed watermelon

1 1/2 oz of silver tequila

juice from 1/2 lime (zest the lime first for the chili lime salt before squeezing it for juice)

3 1/2 oz of regular or sparkling Rose wine chilled

1/4 cup of sparkling water (optional)

Chili Lime Salt

1/4 cup flaky sea salt

1 tsp of chili powder

1 pinch of granulated sugar

zest from 1 lime

OR: 1 TBSP of Tajin


Step 1: Puree the watermelon in a blender. Strain through a fine mesh sieve.

Step 2: Make the chili lime salt by blending all the ingredients on a shallow plate. Use a wedge of remaining lime and rim the glass with it. Dip the lime rimmed glass into the salt mixture.

Step 3: Fill your cocktail glass with ice. Add 1/4 cup of watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice and the rose. Gently stir to combine. Top off with a splash of sparkling water if desired. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
