Tablescapes

I love creating tablescapes when I entertain.  While I’m certainly no Martha Stewart, I’ve found creating a DYI tablescape is not only fun, it allows you to express your creativity using objects purchased or handmade.  The process is purely subjective so you can’t get it wrong! 
 
I had no idea that “tablescaping” is a legit word. 
Wikipedia describes it:  As an activity involving the setting of sometimes elaborate dining tables in an artful, decorative, or themed way for social events”. 

The word itself “is a portmanteau (a blending of two words)”. 
Television chef Sandra Lee gets the credit for this one going back to one of her first episodes that aired in 2003.
